About

The long way around.

How I came to this work.

I started training young. Martial arts at first, then anything else I could get my hands on. It gave me a structure I didn't yet know I needed.

I joined the Marine Corps at eighteen. Eight years, five deployments. The structure went deeper. So did the stakes.

I came home with a brain injury I wouldn't have a name for until years later. The decade that followed broke most of what I'd built and most of who I thought I was. There's no clean version of that part.

Some of what helped was conventional. Some wasn't. I'm careful with that part of the story because the wrong words make it look smaller than it was.

I've built businesses through all of it. Some worked. One collapsed in a way that took a lot of people with it. I'm still learning from that one.

These days I work one-on-one with a small group of people. Mostly men. Some founders, some operators, some who don't have a label for where they are. We sit with whatever's actually there.

That's the short version. I'd rather you ask for the rest.

Three things I hold to.

i.

Honest

I'll give you the real answer over the comfortable one. If you want a hype man, this isn't the place.

ii.

Lived

Whatever I bring up, I've been through some version of it. I'm not quoting books at you.

iii.

Private

What we talk about stays between us. Always has, always will.

If you want to talk

One conversation, see how it sits.

Ninety minutes. No pressure to come back if it's not the right fit.
